Hi, I’m Dr. Tyler Bron. I’m an Orthopedic Surgeon in Colorado Springs at the Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group. I am a specialist in complex hip and knee replacement surgery. I love helping people overcome the debilitating pain of arthritis and get back to doing the things they enjoy.
In Colorado Springs I am one of the few surgeons that uses the Mako Robotic Arm to assist in total knee replacements. The robotic arm allows me to be more precise in preparing your existing bones and placing the implants because we start with a surgical plan based on a CT Scan of your bones. In addition to hip and knee replacement I also practice general orthopedics and treat patients with non-arthritic hip and knee pain, joint trauma and fractures.
My philosophy when working with patients is to have an open conversation so that you understand your options and potential outcomes. I want to be available to my patients to provide as much information as needed to ensure you are comfortable with any decisions made regarding your treatment. As a general principle, I like to exhaust all conservative measures when appropriate and proceed to surgery only when necessary.
On a personal note: My wife, Dr. Mindy Bron, and I moved to Colorado Springs from Kansas after completing our residencies. We love Colorado and moved here to enjoy the Colorado lifestyle. When not working we enjoy spending time with our children, friends, and family. We like to hike, mountain bike, ski and play with our dog (and my wife's two cats) who complete our family.

Validation of Improvement of Basic Competency in Arthroscopic Knot Tying Using a Bench Top Simulator in Orthopaedic Residency Education.
Purpose
To validate basic competency in arthroscopic knot tying using a unique simulator device to compare the level of training needed for learning and tying the arthroscopic knot by evaluating the tensile properties of the arthroscopic knots.
